Day 6.- Salone del mobile -LIGHTS-

Evo nas na kraju puta, a za kraj krijem nesto posebno! Svake godine sajam ima temu, a ove godine to su svetla, tj. lampe svih boja i velicina!Ima za svakog po nesto, a ovde je samo mali izbor svega sto smo videli!

And here we are at the end of our trip, and I'm finishing it with blazing lights! Every year the Salone del mobile has a theme, this year it was light- that is- lamps, of all sorts and sizes!this is my small pick. There was something for everyone.

DAY 3.- fuori salone and design week in Milano

Danas, s obzirom da je bio vedar i suncan dan, odlucili smo da ga iskoristimo, i da odemo da vidimo sta milanska nedelja dizajna ima da nam ponudi.A to je FUORI SALONE, tj. veliki broj izlozbi u centru Milana. Ostali smo bez reci, bilo je predivno!

Today, since it was such a perfect day, we decided to see all the wonders design week in Milano has to offer, that is FUORI SALONE, a versatile number of exhibitions downtown... and we were amazed, we had such a great time, the food, the sights, the people...just overwhelming -in a good way!

Nakon poduze setnje puni utisaka, morali smo da napustimo izlozbene prostore, i odemo na konkurs koji je Fab organizova, za sve dizajnere koji zele da predstave svoje radove odabranim sudijama( u ovom slucaju: Bradford Shellhammer, Rob Forbes, Ambra Medda, Tom Dixon, Yves Béhar, Amanda Dameron, Michael Hermann, Birgit Lohmann). Cilj je da odaberu odredjen proj projekata koje bi stavili u produkciju i prodavali. Sonja je predstavila svoju Flank lampu, a ja sam stocic, koji smo ja i Barbara razradjivale...nadamo se najboljem!

After a lengthy walk through these amazing exhibitions, we went to Fab's open call for all designers to present their work to a panel of judges (in this case: Bradford Shellhammer, Rob Forbes, Ambra Medda, Tom Dixon, Yves Béhar, Amanda Dameron, Michael Hermann, Birgit Lohmann) after which they would choose a certain number, and put them in production and ultimately sell them. Sonja and I presented our design-Sonja of her Flank lamp, and as for me, a table Barbara and I were working on lately.so....fingers crossed!
