Ok, so mixing different types and styles of chairs is something that is "so not design" and "so design" at the same time, right? But the exiting thing for me, in this regard, is how the right selection makes ordinary, old, garden... chairs pop, in a totally new light. I guess I'm one of those people who likes to salvage abandoned furniture, and give it a new shine, a new purpose... I feel like those pieces are the ones I learn from the most as a young, wanna-be designer, because usually they are designed in a practical, function-first manner, an important aspect...but I digress. In the end, I guess what I'm trying to say-I'm a huge fan of this!
(from the top, left to right: 1.header 2.color matching 3.yellow 4.old but renewed 5.turquoise table 6.essencial colors 7.all green 8.eames + garden chairs 9.modern look 1 10. modern look 2 11. panton )
I'm all about mix and match. I don't like the look of entire symmetry and the need to match exactly the same chairs around a big table. I am currently thinking of getting two differently coloured Eames chairs with fibreglass shell to add to my home…just need to find the best supplier.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment.....I'm soooo envious:-)
