friday: illustration inspiration

is a graphic designer and illustrator from Barranquilla, Colombia. He is specialized in character design and vector illustration. I love his flashy colors. All those pinkish, cyclamen, purple colors are just so perfect together I could stare at those illustrations for days.

Roby Dwi Antono is also an illustrator and graphic designer from Ambarawa, Semarang. He's known for his surrealistic characters of girls with bunny masks and bunnies. Yes, there's a lot of bunnies, but it's so well done that you could only ask for more. There's big influence of Mark Ryden but Roby definitely has his own poetics. I must say I prefer more his pencil drawings, but all in all, here's one great artist.

Steve Simpson is designer and illustrator from Manchester, England but based in Ireland. He carefully chooses his colors, shapes and all that together make great entirety. Steve says that vintage illustrations and packaging are huge influence on him.

Victoria Ngai, or how she calls herself, Victo is New York based illustrator from Hong Kong. I'm absolutely in love in how she uses lines and colors. Everything is so perfectly combined making specific atmosphere. I specially enjoy background details.
